Hiram’s creative writing major, one of the few in the state of Ohio, combines extensive coursework in writing with literature classes. Students have ample opportunities to improve their own voice and technique while honing their skills and working toward their preferred career in the writing field.
In addition to developing proficiency in writing, Hiram’s creative writing majors will enhance their close reading competency, expand their research abilities, hone analysis and interpretation skills, and more. |

For admissions, Hiram College recommends four years of English, and three years of math and science in high school. |
